Chelsea will be able to ‘easily’ agree personal terms with Everton winger Anthony Gordon if they have an offer accepted ahead of the transfer window closing, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
Thomas Tuchel has overseen a solid start to the Premier League season at Stamford Bridge, with a win over the Toffees followed by a 2-2 draw with Tottenham, but he can still strengthen ahead of the September 1 deadline.
What is the latest news on Gordon?
Chelsea are ready to submit a £50 million bid for the 21-year-old after seeing a £45 million offer rejected, according to Football Insider, with Todd Boehly apparently giving the move the green light.
It is also understood that the Blues have offered Everton two players in the form of Billy Gilmour and Michy Batshuayi as a part exchange.
Meanwhile, the Telegraph have reported that Gordon wants to swap Goodison Park for west London this summer.
Newcastle have also registered their interest in signing Gordon and first made contact with the Merseyside club back in July and had a £35 million offer rejected.
Despite fierce interest from different directions, Everton continue to insist the winger is not for sale at any price.
