Ahead of the final draw for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed draw assistants for the highly-anticipated event. The group-stages draw will take place at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat on Monday, 27 January. Joseph Yobo, captain of the 2013 Super Eagles AFCON winning team has been chosen alongside other big names on continent to conduct the draw. The other draw assistants are Morocco’s Mustapha Hadji, two-time AFCON winner Serge Aurier and 2022 CAF Coach of the year, Aliou Cisse. Besides pulling balls from the pots, the quartet is expected to offer their insights into the AFCON groups on the night. Morocco, are hosts of the of Africa’s premier competition scheduled to start on 21 December, 2025 to 18 January, 2026.
